Everyone has been on a journey with food, no matter how boring or eventful that journey has been. My story is no different.

My journey with food began as a struggle. As a baby, breastfeeding was nearly impossible as my esophagus was underdeveloped and eating was painful.


As a teenager, I always struggled with an upset stomach and poor digestion, but never sought the reason as I assumed it was just "normal" to feel this way. 

While at George Brown College in Toronto, ON, I decided that feeling better must be a possibility. I did some research and decided that my best bet would be to have some allergy testing done. The list that was given to me of foods that I should be avoiding was so long and filled with foods that I was consuming regularly. The list included many typical foods such as corn, soy, gluten, beef, pork, dairy, sugar, and more. I knew this next season would be a challenge as I was enrolled in school for pastry arts and was surrounded by delicious foods that I was not meant to be eating.


The next few years I did my best to eliminate problem foods and essentially change my diet. I learned a new way of eating that gave me renewed energy and improved digestion. My tolerance for foods is better than ever, and am now able to enjoy these foods in a balanced way. 


This experience, combined with other factors, gave me a desire to learn more about the affect of food on health and well being. In 2015 I enrolled at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition (IHN) and began an incredible journey of studying holistic health.

My passion is now to combine my love for creating food and my nutritional knowledge to help others feel their very best. I know what it is like to feel overwhelmed about healthy eating. Being faced with so much research and contradicting health claims can be very intimidating, as can the amount of time it takes to prepare nutritionally sound food. This is how The Holistic Feast was birthed. Let's explore together what your best health looks like and what kind of delicious foods this could involve.
